I've discovered some beautiful furniture pieces thanks to mydeco's room planner, which i blogged about a few posts ago. I found an arm chair in their catalogue which i absolutely must have : the Albert Arm Chair from Egamma. It is a combination of classy French elegance and a funky modern comic book print. I really love prints, but i do have a weak spot for comic book prints and this one is simply fabulous. At 218.99 £ it is a little bit too expensive for my taste, but nothing can stop me from dreaming about it!

Next to the 'Kringloopwinkel' in the 'Kroonstraat' there is a beautiful new shop too by Bea Joppen... I've only been windowshopping there but she has gorgeous stuff it seems! :)

Oh yeah, those chairs are fabulous.
At the risk of sounding like my mother, since these are quite spendy, you could get an old chair with a similar frame at a tag sale, paint the frame, and re-upholster the seat and back with nifty fabric.
Come to think of it, I have a chair I could do that to. Maybe I'll paint my own design on the fabric to make the chair truly OOAK.

Pam, our house is full of reupholstered and repainted furniture so i'm just going to sounds like your mother too and say that i absolutely love it! I prefer restyling something old over buying brand new ikea furniture. We just redid an ugly 80's pine diningroom, i never thought it would work because it's really chunky and ugly, but it looks completely different with the right paint effects and fabrics!
I love classic chairs with modern colorful fabrics.
I also have repainted my grandmother's dinner table and her chandelier, they were really depressing now they look fresh and stylish. Why don't you blog about the repainted dinning room?
